EarthNow! Landsat Images Now Available

EarthNow! is a cool Landsat image viewer now available on the Internet. The site offers a continuously unrolling sheet of views of North America from orbit. An inset window in the upper right corner (see the EarthNow! graphic below) tells you where you are looking.

We've all read lots of sf novels that provided us with the feeling of what it would be like in orbit, looking down at a continuously changing view of the Earth. Now, you can see it for yourself, in a near-real time mode (the images are delayed by several hours, depending on conditions).

Go to the EarthNow! Landsat image viewer site and see what's playing.
