Meat Chairs And Chairdogs
Simone Racheli is an artist who, among other things, creates ordinary household items that look like they are made of meat and sinew.

Unfortunately, this is only an art project; he doesn't make them out of actual meat, let alone genetically engineer animals to look like useful household items. Because to me, this looks like a skinned chairdog.
However, until somebody makes Frank Herbert's chairdogs, I'll look fondly upon Racheli's pictures. These useful servants appeared first in Herbert's 1964 story The Tactful Saboteur:
The room's standard model chairdogs had been well trained to comfort their masters, McKie noted. One of them nudged him behind the knees until he dropped his bag and took a reluctant seat.
