X-Hawk Concept Video Vs. Bladerunner Flying Car Video
I've written about the X-Hawk before (see X-Hawk Fancraft Like Blade Runner Flying Car?). Now, however, through the magic of graphic animation and YouTube, you can directly compare the conceptual X-Hawk and the fictional Bladerunner flying car directly.

Supposedly, the X-Hawk will do all this by about 2009:
* Contained rotors and compact design allow this aircraft to safely hover and/or land in congested areas without endangering either itself or the environment. This aircraft can even land in a crowd of people without compromising their safety.
* The capability to sustain a stable hover while in direct contact with a wall or the side of a mountain makes possible comfortable access to virtually any location, be it the window of a high-rise building in a major city or a remote mountain ridge in the wilderness. (Urban Aeronautics’ proprietary control system, U.S. Patent # 6,464,166)
* The aircraft’s ducted-fan design makes it significantly quieter than any helicopter.
* From the outset, the X-Hawk aircraft is designed to meet all FAA (U.S. Federal Aviation Administration) requirements. It is designed around FAA approved engines and rotors, and safety requirements for ‘powered lift’ vehicles; all with a view to expediting its eventual certification process.
