Comments on Programmable Soda - Ipifini's Choice-Enabled Packaging
SF short story nails this one; and it looks like a good consumer product. (Read
the complete story)
"Glad you liked the tipoff...would it be churlish to say that the link on my name doesn't work? ;)
(What's the emoticon for abject apology? I really appreciated the tip; I think the link works now.
Bill, Chief Technovelgist)"

"Here in Bermuda (which is in the North Atlantic mind you, not the Caribbean) the youth have been asking for mixes of all the flavours at a soda fountain for decades - which here would be Coke, Sprite, Ginger Beer, Grape and Orange. We call it a "Round the World" - and now soda fountains locally have a "Round the World" button"
(Bermudian 4/13/2006 8:34:51 AM) |
"That's very cool; the Ipifini's programmable soda should have a 'Round the World' button for those who want everything. That is an important idea from the short story by Jeff Noon. SOLACE stands for strawberry, orange, lemon, apple, cola and elderberry; it was very difficult to do with the twist-top controls in the novel. "

"There should be time stamps of teh date of publication of these articles. A comment like:
"to be presented at the PIRA conference in Stockholm, Sweden at the end of this month."
Is totally meaningless if I read an old article. I would like to know when these things were done."
( 4/14/2006 7:52:19 AM) |
"I couldn't agree more; that's why every SF in the News article has a date stamp at the bottom of the article. If it has been updated, that date is also shown. You must have missed it...
However, I'm now thinking that I should just add the date of the event, just to make it more clear..."
(Bill Christensen 4/14/2006 8:47:29 AM) |
"Wow, this is awesome! I also heard this was recently on Good Morning America. Please, go with this! This could be a revolution!"
(Collin 7/20/2006 12:23:30 PM) |
"I've heard of another variation on this concept - the Sipahh straw for flavoring milk. "Every Sipahh milk flavouring straw is filled with our special UniBeads that contain all the flavour and excitement that Sipahh delivers.
As the milk is sipped through Sipahh, the UniBeads dissolve and turn boring white milk into a healthy snack that everyone can enjoy. Flavors: Chocolate, Strawberry, Caramel
Banana, Choc Mint, Toffee, Apple, Cookies & Cream.""

"It appears that you guys missed the boat I viewed a new product your choice flavor caps these guys have nailed the flavor distribution problem http://www.yourchoiceflavorcaps.com/
"
(Bill 10/21/2006 11:10:33 AM) |
"Nice concept, but sales might not be what one expect - once you've had the first flavour, just refill the bottle with water or other clear soda and keep going until all flavours are used up - then buy another bottle."
(brodericl@pdc.co.za 11/8/2006 9:10:51 PM) |
"Here's another pic of the bottle:"
(Bill Christensen 3/13/2007 2:47:13 PM) |
"Here's another picture of the ipifini programmable soda in action:

"Is this programmable soda bottle ready for purchase yet? How much and how do I order them?
