How many novels can you think of that combine swords and robots? (Read

| "Krull is another example. I'm not a fan of Star Wars or other science fantasy stuff. I don't see Star Wars as sci fi, but sci fan, at it's heart it's a messianic fantasy, not really something specualtive. A universe where Good & Evil are real rather than poetic notions seems more backward looking & romantic than speculative. Not only is Wars full of fantasy elements (magic) it also takes a romantic rather than humanistic view of the human condition - there are 2 sides, and the characters try to be on the right side, the conflict is not deep or nuanced, or if it is, I'm not seeing it.
