Comments on Graphene Paper 10x Stronger Than Steel
This new material is paper-thin and super-strong. (Read
the complete story)
"Curious that body armor isn't mentioned as a possible use, this application would seem a natural fit. Excellent research though!"

"That would depend on what sort of "strength" it has. High Tensional Strength is of little help when the thing is being squished, or twisted, for example. Also, some things provide instantaneous strength while others provide the same "quantity" of strength but split it up over a long period of time. There's lots of things "10 times stronger than steel", if you're willing to fudge on your advertising to sell it, by twisting meanings and not using the important measurements."

"Right you are, Ashley. I apologize for not clicking deeper for more information; I've added an additional source and more detailed quotes."

"Hmm. From the description, sounds like the process of making it is similar to some of the other (expensive/difficult/high-failure-chance) methods they make some related materials, but does at least result in something that's all-around "stronger" in most ways that matter. Probably a matter now of cost/difficulty vs necessity."

"my biggest thought since the discovery of graphene is the magnetism and the possibility of extremely lightweight electric motors."
