Comments on NASA's New Radiation Shielding First Proposed By John W. Campbell In 1936
NASA engineers are working on a clever new idea for shielding astronauts from cosmic rays - using the fuel and water needed for the journey for shielding. Just like John W. Campbell first proposed in 1936. (Read the complete story)

"Great(and obvious)Idea! Anything that will hasten our entrance into the Galactic community sounds great."
(W L Kohler 12/20/2004 11:29:50 PM)
"surely an ice barrier built externally somewhat like an igloo around the front and sides of a space ship would provide radiation shielding. If enough was used would also provide water, oxygen and fuel. No tanks would be needed as the cold of space would keep it frozen and it would also protect agains meteor strikes."
(charles f kirkham 2/2/2005 11:37:25 AM)
"Thank you very much, for the info you have provided me with. Its by know means a cure all but it is helpful. Should I ever get around to building my own space ship."
(Christopher M. Carpenter 2/24/2006 4:53:28 PM)
"Lets say you use a thermal spray process which applies an extremely dense composit coating containing Tungsten and Silicon Carbide that would protect the astronauts after the fuel and water were exhausted."
( 3/9/2006 8:18:44 AM)
"What Should we do For Ozone Layer that has been Damage by Pollution......."
(BillA 5/28/2006 1:52:44 PM)
"There is a model of this regarding the pre-Flood world mentioned in the Bible. Read Genesis 1:7 and 7:11"
(James T. Sewell, Ph. D. 11/11/2006 6:38:44 AM)
