9X Media Video Wall: Bradbury's Parlour Walls Come To Life
The 9X Media Video Wall, a massive flat panel video display, is probably too expensive to buy on a fireman's salary, but they come very close to the parlour walls, the original big-screen TV from Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451:
"That's one-third of my yearly pay."
"It's only two thousand dollars," she replied. "And I should think you'd consider me sometimes. If we had a fourth wall, why it'd be just like this room wasn't ours at all, but all kinds of exotic people's rooms. We could do without a few things."
"We're already doing without a few things to pay for the third wall. It was put in only two months ago, remember?"

"It'll be even more fun when we can afford to have the fourth wall installed. How long you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth wall-TV put in? It's only two thousand dollars."
According to the company, they are the first truly modular multi-screen systems. That is, you can get your own "parlour wall" whether you have a small bungalow like the Montags of Bradbury's novel, or a mansion. A screen like the one shown here, of nine twenty-inch diagonal flat panels, would cost about $22,000.
