Carbon Robotics: War Of The Worlds As A Metaphor For Weed Control
Recently, human beings have come up with a new weapon in the war against annoying inferior species, in this case, weeds. Take a look at this robot video
Carbon Robotics™ launched its Autonomous LaserWeeder™ in 2021 to provide farmers with an efficient and cost effective weed management solution. Leveraging deep-learning-based computer vision, the Autonomous LaserWeeder identifies, targets and eliminates weeds while driving autonomously over crop rows. Since its founding in 2018, Carbon Robotics has worked closely with farmers to develop this precision laserweeding technology, which supports sustainable and reliable weed elimination for both conventional and organic farmers.
Carbon Robotics’ Autonomous LaserWeeders now serve as demo units, allowing specialty crop growers to see laserweeding’s proven efficiency, precision, and benefits when adopted. For those interested in purchasing a laserweeding robot, take a look at the 2022 LaserWeeder, Carbon Robotics’ new commercially available unit, which has 3X the number of lasers for increased weeding capacity and integrates effortlessly into existing farming infrastructure.

What stories might weeds tell each other, of the day their field was invaded by an enormous, towering robot wielding deadly lasers! It might sound like, well, this.
