MeCam Selfie Nano Drone Like Karen Traviss' Bee Cam
The MeCam is a tiny UAV and camera combo that can be set to follow you around at a set distance and take live motion selfies. Brought to you by Always Innovating, the device is described as a "nano drone" used to "point-and-shoot yourself".

Today people capture and share their photos and videos using archaic methods and with mixed results. The MeCam launches from the palm of a hand and hovers instantly. The MeCam streams video to an Android or iOS phone or tablet. Videos can then be easily shared on social media platforms. The MeCam doesn't need any remote control: the user can control the device with voice commands or uses the follow-me feature.

The MeCam was perfectly imagined by sf author Karen Traviss a decade ago in her novel City of Pearl. Note that it also responds to verbal commands:
He set his camera to follow him, and it hovered behind him like a large tame bee.
"Tight mid-shot and pull out on but behind me," he told it. He checked the shot on his handheld screen and moved a few meters to the right. That was better.

The MeCam appears to be available now for $99, although it's not clear if they can be purchased by individuals (as opposed to being licensed for larger quantity sales).
