Make Way For The Padloids
The New York Times, Wired, Techcrunch and other highfaluting news publishers have all announced that they are making plans for the coming iPad- / Kindle- / Tablet-based news bonanza. But what about The Weekly World News, The Inquirer and The Sun?
It's time to start thinking about the Padloid.

The term "Padloid" appears in John Varley's 1992 novel Steel Beach:
My office was in Mall Twelve, level thirty-six, 120 degrees. It's in the editorial offices of The News Nipple, the padloid with the largest circulation in Luna.
