Hull Cockpit For Haptic Control Of Halluc II Robot
Take a look at the Hull haptic controller used with the very cool Halluc II robot. Furo (Future Robotics Technology Center) put it together.

A cockpit system to operate a complex system with a lot of actuators and sensors : Hull was developed.
The developed system is able to recognize environmental information on the robot to the operator as a sight and an inner force sense.
Moreover, the system makes operators to easily control to the robot by the movement of three-dimensional both hands.
The robot autonomously defends itself by the concept of "motion envelope", and to operate always safely is possible.
Halluc II is about eighty centimeters in length; it weighs a total of twenty kilograms. Its eight legs end in special wheeled modules that can independently orient themselves in different positions.
My favorite Halluc II motion is the sneaky forward running style.
