Jedi Persecution In Wales: General Order 66 Or 'Sith Happens'?
The founder of the world Jedi religion has accused UK-based retail giant Tesco of religious discrimination after the company ordered him to remove his hood or leave a north Wales branch.
Daniel Jones, the 23-year-old founder of the religion inspired by the Star Wars film saga, believes that he has every right to insist on wearing his hood. Jones, who also goes by his Jedi name Morda Hehol, says
"It states in our Jedi doctrination that I can wear headwear. It just covers the back of my head," he said.
"You have a choice of wearing headwear in your home or at work but you have to wear a cover for your head when you are in public."
The retail empire struck back, however, by referencing the film canon, showing that the three best-known Jedi - Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker - all appear in public without their hoods. Tesco representatives added:
"He hasn't been banned. Jedis are very welcome to shop in our stores although we would ask them to remove their hoods.
"If Jedi walk around our stores with their hoods on, they'll miss lots of special offers."
This last statement appears to be a deliberate dig at the Jedi, known for their ability to use supersensory perception to see special offers.

The Jedi religion claims 500,000 members worldwide. Jones has made an official complaint to Tesco and says he is considering a boycott of the store.
Members of the community appear to be mostly supportive of Jones' claim to religious freedom.
"These aren't the hoods you're looking for," scoffs JanineGibson, commenting on the Guardian article. Commenter twatbeak opines "Tesco's. You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."
