robuLAB10 Healthcare Roomba
robuLAB10 is the prototype version of a helpful little robot that will follow you around your house, telling you to clean up your healthcare act.

(robuLAB10 info [pdf])
Developed for domestic environments, the robuLAB10 robot, equipped with a voice interface allowing access to internet services, is a proof-of-concept demonstration. The next three-years phase will focus on developing a turnkey solution with relevant technology suppliers and partners, with the intention of large scale deployment of such eldercare robots.
ROBOSOFT worked with SRI to integrate SRI’s Karto navigation software on the robuBOX™, ROBOSOFT’s robotic programming system allows to develop interfaces for making daily tasks transparent to users.
robuLAB10 is the creation of French robotics company ROBOSOFT and SRI International.
Cheap and as friendly as a Roomba, you too will one day own your own medical robot - maybe like the psychophonic nurse from a 1926 story by David H. Keller.
"I had her made by the Eastinghouse Electric Company. You see, she's just a machine nurse, but as she doesn't eat anything, is on duty twenty-four hours a day, and draws no salary, she's cheap at the price I paid."
From ROBOSOFT press release via medGadget.
