Wu Yulu, a Chinese farmer, has spent most of his life constructing robots out of materials available to him. His favorite robot is "30 Second Son" (named for its battery operating time).
(Wu Yulu Thirty Second Son robot video)
I'm not sure what Wu Yulu's other children have done (or failed to do) to deserve this. However, the robot is also capable of (canned) speech, saying "I'm a rickshaw-pulling robot. Wu Yulu is my Dad, I take him out about town."
Are there any robots that you love more than your own children?
