Robots Take 3.5M Jobs In Japan By 2025
Robots could fill the jobs of 3.5 million people in Japan by the year 2025, according to a study from the Machine Industry Memorial Foundation.
Japan could save $21 billion in insurance payment on the elderly by using robots to monitor the health of older people (like the RI-MAN robot).
Robots could also help around the house, according to the report. (Like the Twendy-One robot.)
Caregivers could also use robots to look after children. (Like the PaPeRo childcare robots.)
The Foundation puts a cheery face on this situation, though; the robots will give people time to focus on more important things.
