Chassis The Drink Dispensing Robot
Chassis is an remote-controlled drink delivering machine. The device is constructed from a variety of found items - very much the custom bot.

(Chassis the bartending robot)
Chassis' operator can use a headset and wireless transmitter along with the remote control. Where his headlamp might be is a microphone, and the chrome grill beneath his turn signals is a speaker for audience interaction.

(Chassis pours a drink)
At the heart of Chassis: a nice pressurized pony keg system for beer or wine.
As for sfnal predecessors, technovelgy maven Moira would like you to consider Reggie, the bartending robot from The Outpost, a 2002 novel by Mike Resnick.
"...Give me a Witch's Wart."
I had Reggie - that's what I call the bartending machine; it kind of personalizes him - mix it up. "First one's on the house."
(Read more about Reggie)
For historical perspective, you might check out the earliest science-fictional reference I know about; the robot bartender from Alfred Bester's masterpiece The Stars My Destination (1956). And don't miss an article on what is arguably the first real-life bartending robot - Robotender Ernie robot bartender video.
From Hanging with Chassis via Beer Pouring Robot Brings us one Step Closer to Slothful Suburban Bliss. Special thanks to Moira for the tip and the sf reference.
