Magicmirror Augments Your Real Shopping
The Magicmirror is a fitting room mirror that is both a regular reflecting mirror and a computer display. The Magicmirror can determine what clothes you are bringing into the fitting room, and then suggest additional items.

Here's how it works: RFID tags in the clothing that you bring into the fitting room are detected by an RFID reader. The tag numbers are looked up in the store's database, identifying the items. The Magicmirror may also look at a list of your past purchases at the store.
With this information, the Magicmirror makes suggestions for additional items that would go with the clothing that you are trying on.
The intriguing thing to me about this system is that it is trying to bring some part of the Internet shopping experience back into the brick-and-mortar store, rather than the other way around. It calls upon the Net expertise of shoppers.
I'm also thinking that if this works, it will become more intrusive (don't they always?). It will become a true "Magic Mirror" that will talk to you about how you look and what you should buy. I can hear it talking to you as you leave the fitting room - "Are you sure you don't want that sweater? What if I take ten percent off? Hey, come back!"
