Comments on Samsung Transparent OLED Laptop
Very cool demonstration video; I'm still trying to figure out what I would do with a transparent screen laptop. Other than make sure I kept the keyboard clean. (Read
the complete story)
| "I also found this example from the new Star Trek movie.

"Be good if they can make it larger for window displays or for a kind of overlap on/in mirrors for someone who wanted to see how an outfit that is not in stock looks on them."

"Two Words: Augmented Reality
A transparent screen could have all sorts of uses, but this was the first thing that came to mind. Might not be terribly useful in a laptop, aside from looking really snazzy, but as a heads-up display in a smart car, or a scaled-down version mounted in a visor connected to your iPhone? I'd buy one.
I'm also sure it'd be pretty popular with graphic artists, since you could get a better idea of how your design might look on the side of a building, or whatnot. "

| "Well, that's why I invite reader comments. That's a pretty good suggestion. Of course, if I reread my own site I might have come across this item - a transparent mobile search concept design that lets you frame a scene or item.

(The Looking Glass)
Thanks for reminding me!"

"don't forget the transparent screen in the Iron Man movie. It was a control panel built into a large glass panel used to get into Tony Stark's lab in his home. Very similar to the Star Trek example."

"I think it was also used in Tony Stark's master bedroom's window."

| "You're both right - here's the computer screen in Tony's lab:

"Also check the AVATAR movies equipments, most sporting the transparent screens"
