Mechanical Bride
A perfect robotic replica of a woman. (Read

"I don't think there is any question that young people living today will see a fully functional, supremely intelligent android that can pass the Turing test in all categories, not just those limited to speech and simulated ideation. We will have androids that will be smarter and more capable than anyone living. Read Ray Kurzweils's recent book on the "Singularity". He is an authority respected by the scientific community. He statees that the singularity - where artificial intelligence will reach and surpass human intelligence - is only 25 or so years away. At that time, he states, we will have invented the last invention humans will ever have to make. Consider the implications of self improving & reproducing artificial intelligence. It will be a watershed in the human race that will either create havoc or Utopia, depending on whether we use such AI for good or evil. It will not mean a "revolt" by robots bent on our destruction but it could be humans using our own super creatures against ourselves. When did we ever pass up the opportunity to kill one another when the tools were in our hands?"

""As it turns out, real women with hearts turn out to be more dangerous than heartless robots."
Bitter much?"

"Perhaps I should have written 'As it turns out in the story' ... that's the author's stance in the story."
