Alan E. Nourse (1928-1992) was an American science fiction writer, as well as a physician. His works included sf for adults as well as the juvenile market; he also published non-fiction works about medicine and science. His novel The Bladerunner provided the name for Ridley Scott's movie version of Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?.
