Comments on HCID: Handwear Computer Input Device Combat Glove
Interesting military control glove concept under development. (Read

"As there is no link to a SF use, I though I would mention this reminds me of the Bene Gesserit secret gesture language in the excellent series of "Dune" novels by Frank Herbert. The key aspect of the secret language was a silent communication through hand gestures ("finger-flicking"), that was employed to convey private information to someone "in-the-know" while speaking normal, un-obfuscated speech to them in a public place, or if they suspected monitoring."

"I'll put it up. However, you should note that I must have at least forty other ideas and inventions from Dune - including Atreides battle language."

"Herbertfan - I think you are referring to the 'private language' between the Count and Lady Fenring, which I think was more in pauses and humming. The insectile 'finger-flicking' language (now that I think about it) was probably from Herbert's very cool Hellstrom's Hive. Was that what you were thinking of?"
