Comments on iEarth From Google, Nasa... Snow Crash?
New application effectively implements application envisaged in Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash. (Read
the complete story)
"In my cable TV program A LOOK FORWARD I mention a mad system that relies on satellite surveilance to not only show the streets, but also the landmarks so that if you're told the house you are looking for is after a gas station and next to a grocery store, the mapping images will show the gas station and the grocery store as well as the house you're looking for. The person who lives there might go out and wave at the satellite and the person who wants to see them will see them on his screen. Just match up what you see on the screen and drive there. "
