Comments on SkySeer UAV Drone Soars Over L.A.
Police surveillance by means of unmanned aerial vehicles starts to spread across the country. Helpful tool or police state enabler? You be the judge. (Read

| "These guys are spending $30,000 of our own money to spy on us, and they are touting it as cost effective. On the other hand it would make great target practice.

| "VERY VERY 1984ish whats next?" (fred 8/31/2006 12:42:33 PM) |
| "Big brother has reached an all time low. Not hard to believe. They might as well just put cameras in out homes! Or maybe they do..." ( 8/31/2006 7:40:51 PM) |
| "By the time they tell you that they are watching you, its already too late." (Marla Singer 9/1/2006 12:23:13 PM) |
| "I cant believe a common R/C (radio controlled) model airplane, a camera with transmitter, and the ground equipment could cost thirty grand! Someone is making at least $25,000. of clear profit at taxpayers' expense per plane and camera set!
Many R/C modelers have rigged up identical camera-equipped model planes and the related equipment for less than a thousand dollars.
I never understood why people call aircraft, boats and submarines "vehicles" when a vehicle is something that runs on land. Next they will call automobiles, trucks, tanks, trains, etc. "Ground craft", "land craft", "Land vessels" or other names as ridiculous as calling boats and airplanes "vehicles"."
