Comments on Skiers Get d3o-Based 'Impact Suits'
Looks like the science-fictional 'impact suit' of the 1970's comes true in 2006. (Read
the complete story)
"When with this be available for motorcyclists? Could come in very handy..." (Angry 2/15/2006 8:46:07 AM)
"sounds like the worlds first super-hero suit! (It's more than just a super-hero suit; it's got padding! Bill)" ( 2/15/2006 12:46:53 PM)
"Imagine if your suit is defective or no longer works how expected -- locks up while you're in the middle of some activity (if you're wearing one, obviously dangerous activity) and you fall off a cliff or break your neck! Scarry... but I'm 100% sure it would do more good then bad." (Paul 2/16/2006 9:32:37 AM)
"Depending on how this is implemented, this could be just the thing for kids to actually hit the gates without pain or injury. Excellent article." (Ski Racing Dad 2/16/2006 9:38:33 AM)
"Would this product be available for people like me that are diabetic and need to protect our shins from wounds caused by simply bumping our legs ? (Interesting and practical question. I'll pass that one along to the company product manager. Bill)" (L E Brown 2/24/2006 4:36:16 PM)
"when will they be available and for how much? I could use something like that." ( 3/17/2006 4:54:06 PM)
"super hero suite" ( 4/14/2006 12:37:30 AM)
"Has it proved a commercial sucess?" (curious 5/31/2006 3:28:25 AM)
"The applications are wide open with this one should the technology be perfected. Stuntmen could have a whole body suit to protect them. Patients in rehab would have a garment to wear while transitioning from beds and wheelchairs to standing and walking positions during physical therapy. Would it work for American Football players? Probably. Do the applications end with clothing? How about car bumpers? Laptop bags? The interior spaces on busses & trains might be made a little safer as well. This could very well protect everything that goes bump...day or night." (ploeschke 7/11/2006 11:39:25 AM)
"hey guys u look really good am i right " ( 9/1/2006 10:25:43 AM)
| "So it will be available for purchase soon? One word, my friends:
BATSUIT" (Jamie 7/18/2009 5:53:47 PM) |
