(Capt. Mckinly 3/3/2008 11:00:07 PM)
"Life is too preacious to waste on crazy stunts....or jealous hatred,"

"As a Trek fan, I think this is fabulous, with everything else that can deconstructed back to Star Trek (cell phones, blah blah blah), I think it's great that a non-lethal weapon is among those ranks. Afterall, the Trek universe was supposed to be Utopian. Grin. I'm very please with the PHASR project and it's possibilities. Ciao."

"I think you must be referring to a rifle more like this one:

"
(Bill Christensen 5/5/2009 11:01:53 AM)

(Bones 5/5/2009 9:07:54 PM)
"Look at this,as in all things yesterdays Sci-Fi becomes todays sciance fact. Many great inventions started out in Sci-Fi and are all around us.Cell phones, home computers,GPS,and travel at the speed of sound finaly Star trek fans Ion propultion drives like the one in use on the famed Deep space 1 probe. So why not a non lethal phaser rifle. Shure is a lot better than trying to create another wepon of death like maby the DISRUPTER."
( 5/6/2009 2:14:19 PM)
"keep going on making star trek tech world in peace is the best world to live in"
( 5/6/2009 4:25:03 PM)
"Uh, to say the Star Trek universe is peaceful or Utopian is basically to ignore everything about Star Trek history, which seemed to become more catastrophically perilous the more advanced it got. Despite all his creativity, apparently it was difficult for Gene Roddenberry to imagine a cure for the perversity of the "human" heart."
(agkcrbs 5/7/2009 10:17:54 AM)

(unituibiagiap 1/20/2010 5:42:08 PM)
"Hey! Thats not a Phaser rifle! That's a "Laser" rifle! They were only used in the very beginning of TOS (the original series) and were soon replaced!"
(James T Kirk 3/9/2010 5:12:48 PM)
"Well, a LASER rifle is exactly what the new military PHASR weapon is... so the Star Trek LASER rifle is a much closer analogy than the Star Trek Phaser weapon. The only miss is that in Star Trek it was lethal, not merely temporarily blinding."
(cyberT00th 3/9/2010 5:51:12 PM)
"Write A growing number of sites will pay for your articles or blog posts. Associated Content and Helium will "pay for performance" based on page views for just about anything you want to write about. Articles on specific topics they're looking for can earn direct payments up to about $200. The rates are probably low for established writers, but if you're trying to break into the field and have time on your hands, they're a great way to start. Also, a lot of companies are looking for part-time bloggers. They may pay per post or on a steady contract. Our Weblogs Guide posts blogging jobs weekly in the forum"
(rotzzips 10/13/2010 5:40:52 AM)

Get your facts straight professor. lol "
(kawika 5/14/2011 11:07:06 AM)
"If this Gun just blinds them, is that like setting phasers to stun?"
(Just Wondering 9/29/2011 2:50:01 AM)
"That's exactly right!"
(Bill Christensen 9/29/2011 9:03:31 PM)
"I am a photographer and I cary with me a flash gun with a foldable reflector, it takes different size flash bulbs and is battery powered. I can get up to a dozen shots before it needs re-charging...it can temporarily blind someone (I've used it since the 1970s)."
(steinmentz1 10/2/2011 3:52:22 AM)
