Comments on Marubot Robot Football League
Okay, so the robot football players are not very big. Full-size robot football players must surely follow. (Read the complete story)

"Back to the future!(not the movies) In 1986 Nolan Bushnell and the Woz set up a company to create take video games out of the box... literaly! RC robots with infra-red lasers duking it out in your living room. It's so hard to find evidence of their effort today, it's tempting to think Woz wrote a worm to erase all records of this from the net. I can conjure up in my mind the exact publicity photo I saw in the paper 20 years ago, but I can't find a picture of their robots today. Here's a small mention: http://www.i-programmer.info/history/8-people/310-nolan-bushnell.html The idea failed back then, but Moore's law means you can buy such toys for next to nothing today: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/rc/7485/"

"Success! Bushnell and Woz's company was called Axlon... http://www.geocities.com/androbot.geo/axlon.html And here are the robots: http://www.geocities.com/androbot.geo/techforce.jpg http://www.geocities.com/androbot.geo/axlon-techforce.jpg "
