It's pretty clear that some form of religious belief isn't going to go away any time soon, given the way it's encoded in our genes. The best people can do if they don't want to play the traditional way, is to invent 'secular' religions such as these. I have no doubt that in the coming centuries science will become the new religion to an extent of which early scifi writers only dreamed."
