Comments on SpaceShipTwo Spaceliners From Virgin Galactic
Remarkable aeronautical designs from Virgin Galactic take you to the very edge of space. (Read the complete story)

"Let Sir Richard Branson, test pilot Mike Melvill, VG President Will Whitehorn, Burt Rutan and test pilot Brian Binney be your guide to SpaceShipTwo spaceliners in this Virgin Galactic video:
"

".. I salute all of them as heroes! If only more people had been willing to put their own money and research into this a long time ago.. Thank god, there's some people out there willing to take the financial risks and do the reasearch and develop this technology in a way that the average joe will one day benefit from it. We sure as hell know NASA would've never done it.. "

"I like the design they've come up with. It harkens back to the China Clipper, and the romantic first years of air travel."
(Erik Nodacker 1/25/2008 10:10:22 AM)
"There is always a way to make real and improve upon the fantasies of past Sci-Fi, and real science. My dad used to see Buck Rogers and the like, and think, "Who knows, maybe someday". But God bless those who said instead "Why not, why not just do it"! Truly those that have the vision may not see it come to pass, yet if they pass on that vision, it just may well come to pass! It is great to see that it is. Sometimes we look at what, and why, and we see that it was really so simple after all. Thank you Burt Rutan, and thank you Sir Richard Branson, test pilot Mike Melvill, VG President Will Whitehorn, Burt Rutan and test pilot Brian Binney! EdRadio"

"It's really kind of amazing. Although these trips aren't quite space travel, it really does represent the first step toward commercial travel to low Earth orbit destinations like the ISS. I first read about the idea of commercial space travel in Heinlein and Asimov; although it seems incredible, there really are people who can afford this service."
