The problem as I see it is that you are limited by the surface area of the "net" your collecting with. I would love to see a "fractalized" version of this device to increase its surface area and allow for more contact to collect water.
This could easily be done using an "inverse Sierpinski triangle". Instead of cutting out the middle of a triangle, you should put another upside-down pyramid net there inside the first, creating more surface for the droplets to contact. Then repeat the process as much as humanly possible.
