Comments on Tooth Bud From Stem Cells Looms Large
Implanted tooth buds created from stem cells may replace false teeth. This procedure has been shown to work in mice, and may work in humans as well. (Read the complete story)

"This procedure sounds great but I doubt that the average person will ever have access to this treatment. I can imagine that the cost will be prohibitive and only wealthy people will make use of this technology. The cost of tooth implants is about £2000 per tooth. Not many people can afford that level of cost so I wonder if growing one's own teeth will be cheaper than the tooth implants?"

"I find it fascinating that maybe one day people could grow teeth again(like sharks.I for one would definately have it done as i have unsightly fillings.I just hope one day it becomes a possibility"
