	"Niven uses a superconductor of heat earlier, in Ringworld.  There a strip of superconductor cloth is run from a lake to a target for sunflowers, who end up boiling the lake and creating a cloud cover so our heros can safely cross the sunflower field.
   The cloth is also a superconductor of electricity, and Niven never makes the distinction.  It's possible that at the time he didn't realize there was one.
