Fiction in the News Articles
Related to material in Blade Runner
by Ridley Scott
This classic film set the tone for many imitators; it's signature presentation of a ruined Los Angeles, special effects, performances and story make this a great movie. Directed by Ridley Scott, screenwriters Hampton Fancher and David Peoples made Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep come alive. Manufactured human beings called "replicants" escape from off-world colonies and come to Earth. Rick Deckard, a semi-retired blade runner, is called to retire them (hunt them down, and kill them).
