Dr. Futurity by Philip K. Dick:

Dr. Jim Parsons time-travels (inadvertently) to the year 2405, where he is surprised to find the everyone welcomes death. Healers are seen as criminals and social deviants. This novel is an expanded version of his short story Time Pawn, published in 1954.
