"SHOW ME A PICTURE OF A BUTCHER PLANT. SO THAT I COULD SAVE IT IN MY DISKETTE FOR MY PROJECT IN BIO 1. A BILLION THANKS IF YOU GRANT IT"

"what is he purpose of the butcher plant? "
(talisha 10/10/2004 7:21:31 PM )
"The butcher plant produces raw protein, not true meat, but a protein product that can be processed like meat, maybe think of it more like a really exotic nut plant. Because nuts tend to be more protein. So instead of growing wheat or a flour product, this plant grows a high energy protein like a nut, but on a higher level."

"protato link is dead: http://www.newhope.com/ffn/ffn_backs/Mar_03/news3.cfm "
(Masa 12/20/2005 9:25:29 AM )
"There is also a japanese mushroom that tastes just like steak and has the protein equivalent. It's been around for quite a while.
(Which variety? The shitake mushroom is considered high in protein, but no more so than beans or other vegetable sources. According to the all-knowing Internet, that is. The only vegetable that even comes close is soy beans.)"
(Penny 1/24/2006 5:13:12 PM )
"I just wanted to post a (somewhat belated) reply to an earlier post by Tim Morrison. The butcher plant produces what amounts to a 'steak'; one of the characters actually grills them as is, straight from the plant. Also, I found a new link to the Protato."
