"I had a cool idea for something that would ENSURE my awakeness. I already have a coffee machine which can be set for a certain time. My idea was a hammock which at the pre arrange time would release two clamps allowing the hammock to be slowly lowered to the floor over the course of a few minutes (using motors or counterweights). The genius finishing touch would be having some of those plastic spikes (the kind used on top of walls as burglar deterrents) underneath the hammock. The hammock then would not be able to be raised until bedtime."
