"I bet you think I forgot that Han Solo helped by diving in from sunward, scattering Darth and the fighter pilots. Well, I didn't."
(Bill Christensen 11/17/2004 9:23:20 PM )
"Why don't you make star wars sevan. And for the internet, talk more about it."
(Trevor 11/19/2004 9:02:07 AM )
"fight me or die, thankyou."
(Michile 11/19/2004 9:08:51 AM )
"thats because Vaders Tie was the TIE Interceptor not the plain ol' tie fighter."
(blade357 1/31/2005 4:59:20 AM )
"It wasn't tie Interceptor, that Vader was flying.... In fact, it was a Tie-advanced. "

"What is does T.I.E stand for."
( 12/16/2006 9:56:04 PM )
"It stands for 'Twin Ion Engine.' See the article SMART-1's Ion Drive Not Science Fiction to learn more about real-life ion engines (and the fictional variety)."
(Bill Christensen 12/17/2006 5:13:07 AM )
"hey look, a place to babble! I love the TIE design, and especially the tech of it. Though I always wondered if they suffered from the "Korean War American Jet" issues, in that when supersonic flight was achieved an engagement could simply be abandoned by a faster-moving enemy. In this case, I wonder about the thoughts of Stormtroopers (a fighting force absolutely steeped in the ongoing idea of TIE from thier days in the ETA class fighters used during the clone wars). "Oh boy. Hey, lets go chase these rebels with our "substantially slower TIE powerplants" and watch our foes just peel off in front of us as they push the hyperdrive button." Maybe when you're shadowed by a Star Destroyer you don't worry about that sorta thing. "
(clockworkvagabond@gmail.com 9/1/2009 12:19:07 PM )
"the TIE reeley means TWIN ION ESKORT not TWIN ION ENGINE"
( 5/5/2010 6:57:23 PM )
"If you don't believe me, check George Lucas' Star Wars database - TIE Fighters. It's possible that some of the Star Wars novels may not fully comply."
(Bill Christensen 5/6/2010 5:21:01 PM )
"Darth Vaders aka Anikian SkyWalker TIE fighter is like a Bomber and reguler and intercpter all togter its got the speed strangth and flight ablity from all Bomber strangth Intercepter Speed and Fighter Flying agility and lazer strangth"
(Phillip.A.J. 10/21/2010 2:57:03 PM )
