Science Fiction in the News Articles
Related to material in Earthlight
by Arthur C. Clarke

Excellent early Clarke novel; it has the great pacing and measured, rational perspective that are a hallmark of Clarke's books. It takes place on the Moon in the not-to-far distant future; lunar bases and observatories dot the lunar surface. There are political tensions, but Clarke always measures their dangers against the harsh reality of life in space. Highly recommended.

MAHEM Metal Jets Like Clarke's Stiletto Beam
This idea amazed me the first time I read about it, in Arthur C. Clarke's excellent novel 'Earthlight.'
