"The early models of even a brilliant invention are at best only crude affairs, often within an exceedingly short time perfected beyond recognition. For many years there has been much talk about building thought machines. Even now there are calculating machines that quickly solve mathematical problems that would otherwise take eminent mathematicians and skilled computators months to solve. And constant improvements are being made on these mechanical “robot” mathematicians."
