Reason by Isaac Asimov:
Science Fiction Inventions, Technology and Ideas

Amusing short story describes the robot that runs a space station the purpose of which is to supply energy to the planets. QT-1 starts doing a lot of thinking, and eventually decides that humans don't compare well to robots, and decides to set up a machine religion that puts humans at the bottom. Select an invention:

Positronic Brain - many connections
A computer CPU with the capacity to rival a human brain.

Solar Station
A satellite that gathers solar energy in space and then beams it to Earth (or other planetary surface).
